How do you order a cake?

1. Count the people, not the inchesCakes here are sized by portions. Tell us the headcount and we will match it. Four, six, eight and ten are the standard sizes and anything larger is by arrangement.
2. Pick a flavour, or describe the personChocolate, vanilla, fruit, almond and lemon are the reliable ones. If you do not know, tell us who it is for and we will suggest.
3. Write out the message exactlyIncluding spelling and accents, in whichever language you want. We pipe what you send.
4. Give us 72 hoursOne week in December, at Easter and around Carnival, when the counter runs at capacity.

What about cakes for a wedding or a large event?

Tiered cakes, macaron towers and dessert tables are handled separately, because they need a longer runway and a conversation about your venue. Heat is the variable that decides what will hold on an open terrace in the afternoon, and we would rather discuss that properly than guess.

Will a cake survive the drive across the island?

In a box, in a cool car, yes. In an open boot at two in the afternoon, less reliably. Our practical advice: collect as close to the event as you can, keep the box flat and out of direct sun, and if the cake has a cream finish, ask us to plan around the time of day. For a beach or terrace event, a fruit tart or a macaron platter is the safer choice and looks just as good on a table.
