What kinds of cake can you order?

Everything we build starts from the pastry we bake every morning, which is why the flavours read like a French counter rather than a novelty catalogue. Chocolate, vanilla, fruit, almond and lemon are the reliable ones. Tell us the occasion and we will suggest the one that suits it.

• Round cakes from six to forty portions, finished plainly or decorated
• Fruit tarts scaled up to a full size cake, which travel better in heat than cream finishes
• Number and letter cakes for milestone birthdays
• Macaron platters, which sit on the table alongside a cake or replace one entirely

How much notice do you actually need?

Seventy two hours is the honest answer for a decorated cake. A plain cake or a large tart can sometimes be done in forty eight if you call rather than email. In December, at Easter and around Carnival, give us a week, because those are the three windows when the counter runs at capacity.

What should you tell us when you order?

1. How many peoplePortion count matters more than diameter. Tell us the headcount and we will size it.
2. The flavour, or the personIf you do not know what to pick, describe who it is for. That usually gets to the answer faster.
3. The exact wordingWrite it out precisely, including spelling and accents. We pipe what you send us.
4. When and whereCollection day and time, at Simpson Bay or Philipsburg, or the delivery address.

Can you write in French, Dutch, Spanish or Papiamento?

Yes. Type the wording into the form exactly as you want it to appear, accents and all, and that is what will be piped. This island speaks several languages before breakfast and the cake should too.
