Hours and locations

Simpson Bay, at 130 Welfare Road, is open every day: 6 AM to 7 PM Monday to Saturday and 6 AM to 6 PM on Sunday. Philipsburg, at 6 Hendrikstraat next to the Courthouse, is open 7 AM to 3 PM Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. The two are about twenty minutes apart by car.

Ordering and lead times

A pickup request needs at least twenty four hours. Catering needs forty eight, and a full week once you pass fifty guests. A celebration cake needs seventy two hours, and a wedding cake four weeks, or three months in high season. A request is not a confirmed order until we have replied and payment is arranged.

Prices and payment

Every counter price is published on the price list, in US dollars, which is still unusual on this island. A baguette is $1.75, a butter croissant $2.50, a quiche $4.75 and a sandwich between $6.50 and $8.50. We take cash and card at the counter, and bank transfer for larger orders.

Allergens

We will always tell you plainly what we can and cannot promise. Our kitchen works with wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts every day, so we cannot offer a gluten free product and we cannot guarantee any item is free of traces of nuts. We can tell you which items have no nuts in the recipe, and our team has handled allergy requests carefully for years. If the allergy is severe, say so clearly and we will be honest rather than accommodating.
