Watch the jets land with a croissant in hand — our waterfront maison is minutes from Maho.

Maho Beach and Simpson Bay are next-door neighbours on the Dutch side, which makes La Sucrière's waterfront maison the natural bakery stop before a plane-spotting session. Pick up coffee and a bag of viennoiserie on the way and you'll be set up on the sand before the first heavy arrival of the day. Plane-spotting is mostly waiting — wait deliciously.

What to order for Maho Beach

For Maho, think hand-held and sun-proof: butter croissants, pain au chocolat, a baguette sandwich from the counter, and cold drinks. Skip cream-filled pastries — they don't love the heat at the fence.

Good to know

How far is La Sucrière from Maho Beach?
Minutes by car — Maho sits beside the airport at the western end of Simpson Bay, and our original Waterfront maison is close by on Welfare Road in Cole Bay. Our second maison is across the Dutch side on Old Street in Philipsburg.
What should I bring to Maho Beach from the bakery?
Hand-held things that survive sun: croissants, pains au chocolat, baguette sandwiches and cold drinks. There's little shade at Maho, so skip delicate cream pastries and bring water.
Can I pre-order before a plane-spotting morning?
Yes — send a pickup request via the form on our site (or call the Waterfront maison) at least 24 hours ahead. Requests are confirmed via WhatsApp once payment is arranged, then boxed and ready to grab on the way to Maho.
